Satsuma is a private studio for wigs, units and toppers on Metairie Road. One stylist, one client at a time, and no one asks why you wear one.

Tell us how you want to wear it: every day, for an event, or for a change. Photos help. You never have to explain why.

We measure your head and your hairline for the cap size and the fit, and ask how you wear your own hair underneath.

Try units in different lengths, textures and colors, with the mirror to yourself. Take as long as you like.

The unit you pick is cut and styled on you: the hairline, the part, the length. We show you how to put it on and take it off.

Before you book
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Fittings are by appointment, so the room is yours for the whole visit.
How long does a fitting take?
About 90 minutes. Each service on the menu shows its own time.
Can I bring a friend?
One guest is welcome. The suite has room for one more chair.
Do I need to bring my own unit?
No. Bring one if you have it, even an old one, because it shows us how you like a unit to sit.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the unit, the cutting and the time. How pricing works explains what sets it, and the booking page shows the studio's prices.
Can you order a unit you don't have?
Yes. Tell us the length, texture and color you want, and we will talk through what is possible and how long it takes to arrive.
Choose a time for your fitting
New clients start with a fitting. If you already have a unit, you can book a cut, a style or a wash.
