Fitting by consultation

Your fitting starts with a conversation

Every fitting begins with a talk, and takes as long as it takes.

You can wear a unit for a party, for every day, for a change, or for reasons that are yours alone. Whatever yours are, you do not have to share them here.

We start with how you want to look and how you want it to feel, then measure, try and cut. The room is private, and the door is closed.

The fitting

Four steps, about 90 minutes

  1. 01
    15 min

    Step 1: Talk

How you want to wear it, how often, and the looks you like. Photos help, and so does a unit you already own.

    • Where and when you will wear it

    • The length, texture and color you have in mind

  2. 02
    10 min

    Step 2: Measure

Your head and hairline, so the cap fits. We also look at how you wear your own hair underneath.

    • Cap size and fit

    • How your own hair will sit underneath

  3. 03
    30 min

    Step 3: Try

Units in several styles on you, one after another, with a mirror to yourself.

    • Lengths, textures and colors

    • No hurry, and no pressure to choose

  4. 04
    35 min

    Step 4: Cut and style

The unit you pick is cut and styled on you, and we show you how to put it on and take it off.

    • The hairline and the part

    • How to put it on and take it off

Before and on the day

Four things to know before you come.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Book your fitting

Choose a day online, or call or text. A deposit holds the room and goes toward your service. If you have questions first, send them through the contact page.

  2. 02

    Step 2: What to bring

A few things make the fitting easier. None of them is required.

    • Photos of looks you like, on your phone

    • A unit you already own, even an old one

    • Your hair the way you usually wear it

    • One guest, if you would like company

  3. 03

    Step 3: When you arrive

Park on Metairie Road or on a side street nearby, and come to Suite 3. Ring the bell and Eula will let you in. Come about ten minutes early.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Afterward

You leave with the unit, and with a plain plan for putting it on, taking it off and washing it. Book a refresh when it needs a trim or a new set.

The private room

A room with a door that closes

Fittings happen in a private suite on Metairie Road. It is set up for one client at a time.

  • One client at a time

No one waits behind you and no one sits beside you. The suite is yours for the whole fitting.

  • Your mirror, your time

Try as many units as you like. A fitting is not rushed to make room for the next one.

  • Room for one guest

Bring a friend or a family member if you want a second opinion. The suite fits one more chair.

Questions

About the fitting

Do I need to have a unit in mind?

No. Many clients arrive with only a photo or an idea of the length. We start there.

Do I have to buy a unit at the fitting?

No. A fitting is a chance to try. You decide in the room, or you can think it over and come back.

What if I want something we do not have?

We can order a unit to your length, texture and color, and tell you how long it takes to arrive.

Can I come in my own hair, braided or twisted?

Yes. Come as you usually wear it. It shows us how a unit will sit.
